The Planning Alliance is a cross-sectoral, multi-disciplinary group of built environment stakeholders, focused on strengthening public sector planning to deliver sustainable growth in the interest of the public.
In order to do this, the Planning Alliance stakeholders have developed the Action Plan, listed below, which is centred around three key workstreams:
- Improve the operation of the planning system
- Improve the image of the planning system
- Increase resources in the planning system
To deliver against these themes, sub-groups of Planning Alliance stakeholders, such as our ‘Communities of Practice’ (CoP) sub-group, have been formed to input into the Action Plan. These are supported by a dedicated Programme Manager who reports to a Programme Board responsible for managing the delivery of the Plan.
