On behalf of CPA and WPA members, London Property Alliance has responded to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Housing & Planning’s inquiry into England’s developer contributions system.
The Alliance has called for changes to CIL and S106 to make the system quicker, simpler, more transparent and flexible, and based on stakeholder engagement. We also raised serious concerns with the Government’s proposed Infrastructure Levy because it is ill-suited to complex urban areas and will likely cause uncertainty, delay and ultimately disincentivise development and investment in central London.
