WPA NextGen members took part in a walking tour exploring the rejuvenated Old Street Campus.
The tour showcased a long-awaited transformation of the area, including the newly completed redevelopment of Old Street station and roundabout, which began in 2019. The tour also discussed the importance of the excellent sustainability credentials of both the White Collar Factory and the Featherstone building. These included the innovative use of materials and technology, such as the use of exposed concrete for cooling and the use of sensors to regulate heating and lighting.
The tour encouraged attendees to think about the legacy of developments, particularly on creating places and spaces that put sustainability and community at the forefront.
