MHCLG Research Survey: Demolition and retrofit in national planning policy

12 Sep 2024

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) is seeking to understand whether national planning policy and guidance regarding the demolition and redevelopment or retrofit of buildings should be updated.

MHCLG is asking the industry, particularly property owners, to complete a quick survey to gain an understanding of what types of policy intervention could be needed. The survey will only take around 10-15 minutes to complete.

We urge all members to respond to the survey and share it with their wider network ahead of the deadline of 31 October 2024.
