Over 130 WPA and CPA members and stakeholders joined us for the launch of new research by London Property Alliance about the growth of the capital’s life science districts. Building on the findings of our 2018 report, London’s Knowledge Clusters: From Emerging to Maturing explores the incredible market changes which are creating world-class lab research and associated workspace in areas including the Knowledge Quarter (Camden / Islington), SC1 (Southwark / Lambeth), Whitechapel, White City, Sutton and the Docklands (Canada Water / Canary Wharf).
As well as featuring case studies and interviews from leading life science occupiers, developers, investors and policymakers – the research explores what London needs in order to compete on the global stage for creating, growing and retaining the innovative health and science businesses of the future.
Our keynote speaker was Dr Angela Kukula (CEO of MedCity & Director of Life Sciences at London & Partners), with Jack Sallabank (Founding Director of Future Places Studio) presenting the highlights of the research.
The research sponsors are Charles Russell Speechlys (headline sponsor), British Land, Derwent London, Gerald Eve, Howard de Walden Estate, King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership, Landsec, Precis Advisory and Stanhope/Mitsui Fudosan.
The reception was hosted by Landsec at The Forge, a landmark net zero office development, located in the SC1 life sciences corridor.
