London Property Alliance (CPA + WPA) has responded to a Parliamentary Inquiry on the proposals for Permitted Development Rights for the conversion of commercial space (Class E) to residential.
Our response, prepared by James Wickham from Gerald Eve, notes support for deregulating the planning system to make it faster and more responsive, and warns against the dilution of commercial uses in town and city centres which may threaten their continued success and ability to contribute to economic prosperity and recovery, and job creation.
