We are fully behind The Chancellor in supporting young people into employment, and London’s real estate sector must seize the opportunity to recruit young people from all backgrounds.
Supporting the next generation of talent is critical for every industry, but the property sector has a particular need to attract a more diverse range of staff with different skills in order to respond to the challenges posed by Covid-19 and create places that are accessible and inclusive for all.
Traineeships and apprenticeships are key to attracting under-represented entrants who may not have thought of property as a career path, so this is a win-win. Recruitment from a wider range of educational, gender and ethnic backgrounds is good for both business and society.
