New development can deliver a significant array of social benefits from the provision of new community facilities, green spaces and transport infrastructure through to the homes and offices that shape and improve the way we live and work. But, despite multiple efforts to develop industry-wide guidance on this issue, there remains a lack of consensus over how we define and measure the social value a new development can bring.
This seminar will provide an exclusive preview of our upcoming report, Social Value in the Built Environment, which seeks to address these challenges and outline a series of recommendations to transform how we measure, deliver and communicate social value. Following a presentation from Cecilia Lindstrom (Future Places Studios), a panel of industry leaders and contributors to the paper will explore the findings in greater detail.
The seminar will take place at 11 Belgrave, a new development from Quadrum Global that has enhanced the surrounding area through public realm improvements, urban re-greening and the provision of 14,000 sq ft of communal spaces. Tours of the building will be available after the seminar.
Speakers to be announced in due course.
