We were pleased to welcome an audience of international investors and developers to our breakfast briefing at The London Stand at MIPIM, with Opportunity London partners. This seminar focused on the results of our March 2023 Global Cities Survey, and focused on some of the key findings of the report including:
- London’s strong economic recovery post-pandemic
- How London’s economic performance compares to other global cities
- The declining prime office rental growth rates in all major global cities
The briefing opened with a presentation from our Chief Economic Advisor Alexander Jan, before Chief Executive Charles Begley chaired a panel featuring Laura Citron (CEO, London & Partners), Chris Hayward (Chairman of the Policy Committee, City of London Corporation), Andrew Hawkins (EU Offices – Capital Markets Lead, Cushman & Wakefield) and Melissa Román Burch (Chief Operating Officer, New York City Economic Development Corporation).
We wanted to thank those on the panel, Centre for London and Oxford Economics for their work on the research, and to Central District Alliance for its sponsorship.
